When over 700 world-class wines combine with San Diego’s top culinary artisans and nationally recognized celebrity chefs, one thing is for sure – The San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival once again comes to America’s Finest City.
Flex your taste buds at this international showcase of the world’s premier wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities, and gourmet foods. Over 700 wines, 50 of San Diego’s top fine dining restaurants and 30 gourmet food companies will participate in the 2006 Festival. The five-day festival features wine tasting seminars, cooking classes by award-winning chefs and cookbook authors, and an elegant Reserve & New Release Tasting at one of San Diego’s finest hotels. The festival culminates on Saturday at the star-studded Grand Tasting Event and Fine Wine/Lifestyle Auction on the beautiful Embarcadero Bay complete with Chef Showdown demonstration stages, celebrity cookbook signing tents, “Living Large” entertainment tent, Olive Oil Tasting & Competition, & More. Proceeds from auctions at the event go to benefit enology and culinary scholarships awarded by the American Institute of Wine & Food.
