Jasmine is one of my two favorite places for dim sum in San Diego. (The other is Emerald.) There is a variety of choices… new favorites and old classics… Even though the restaurant is extremely large, you may find yourself in a long line on the weekends and parking can be difficult.
Fried Shrimp Balls with Sesame Seeds - The sesame seeds were overpowering. They took away from the taste of the shrimp.

Pearl is Emerald’s sister restaurant. I went to Pearl during the Lunar New Year weekend, so they had extra festivities. I was surprised to find a park behind the restaurant.
Silver Ark
Submitted by cathytran on Sun, 01/04/2009 - 5:33pm.I was hungry. Therefore, it was pretty easy to persuade me to try a new restaurant… Silver Ark in Mira Mesa. It’s next to Rite Aid (who is apparently welcoming Sav-on customers or at least that’s what their giant sign says).
Royal Capital
Submitted by dennis on Thu, 01/01/2009 - 5:58pm.This was sometime ago near the beginning of summer. Everyone was finished with the school semeter/quarter and we all decided to celebrate with some lobster! Hai has been to Royal Capital a couple of times before and tells us that he has actually driven there from San Diego just for lobster. So either this place is really good, or he is just too crazy.
