I took Lynn to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago for her birthday. Her friend had recommended this place and so we decided to check it out for ourselves.

I first want to thank Dennis and the Oh-So Yummy community for welcoming me into this project! I’m looking forward to reading about and sharing my own food adventures! I wrote a round-up of Happy Hours for San Diego Citybeat a couple weeks ago and took some photos for it. I have very meager photography skills but some of the photos actually turned out pretty well so I thought I’d share these outtakes from my shoot at C Level Lounge on Harbor Island.

I had heard several people speak highly of the Hash House, but did not have the opportunity to visit until a recent Sunday… I’ve heard you can expect long lines, but luckily for us, it was about 1 pm and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table for six.

Lynn and I went to this restaurant a couple of nights ago for our one year anniversary. We chose this place because we wanted to go to a nice restaurant in Coronado and the sandiegorestaurants.com reviews were good. Plus, we were looking for a restaurant that was out of the ordinary. A boathouse restaurant is just that!

A few days ago was the “Bloggers meet and eat” event at Hawthorn’s in the old North Park Theater. Jim, the Brunch Master, had organized and invited several food bloggers to partake in this dining event. Fellow bloggers who were available to come included Scott and Linda from My Very Own Eating San Diego Blog, Cathy from mmm-yoso!!!, and Lynn and myself of Oh-So Yummy.

We walked in about 15 minutes until closing, about 10:15m, and were promptly seated by the waitress . Maybe we got water right away but we ended up being forgotten for a bit. It was a full room and they somehow missed that we hadn’t ordered, in fact, hadn’t even gotten the MENU yet. We had to flag someone down to get a menu. I wonder if this happens often or maybe just that night.

Lynn and I decided to eat here because we had a Clipper Magazine coupon for this place. It was a buy one, get one free deal with the purchase of two drinks. And since our meals already came with drinks (part of the combo), the deal was even sweeter!

Before heading to the airport for Thanksgiving travel, Dennis and I stopped by a new breakfast place to review: Kono’s at PB, all the way at the end of Garnet Ave.
