Fortunes

Harrah’s Rincon Casino has an Asian-themed restaurant called Fortunes. It’s decorated with bright red lanterns. It is very clean, but a little pricey for what they serve. Typically, a Vietnamese restaurant will serve a bowl of Pho for about $6, but at Fortunes, it’s double the price!

We ate here anyway, since we had already tried the other restaurants at the casino. We split a soup and an entrée.

Hot & Sour Soup ($4.99) – Good soup, but not very spicy.

Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp ($17.99) – Very small portion served with a bowl of steamed white rice. Plump jumbo shrimp in a creamy sauce with honeydew melon and cantaloupe topped with walnuts. The fruits were served warm – not something that I’ve had before, but not bad at all.

For about the price of a seafood entrée here, you can go to the buffet instead and leave full. If you’d prefer a more intimate dining experience, Fortunes offers one menu for both lunch and dinner. Also, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so plan accordingly.
