Haute Pink Cakes
Looking for cute cakes or cupcakes? Try the local family-owned Haute Pink Cakes in Rancho Penasquitos. They have lots of flavors, including their signature PINK velvet, in three sizes: mini ($1.50), regular ($3), and jumbo ($4.50). If these prices seem a little steep, keep a look out for coupons in local publications. Also, if you become a fan on Facebook, you'll get updates about daily specials.
We tried two regular-sized cupcakes. The Snickerdoodle Cupcake sounded so tasty since I like the cookie version. It definitely tasted like what I thought it would -- with yummy cinnamon. Unfortunately, I didn't like the vanilla buttercream, but that's just because I don't like vanilla buttercream in general. The Chocolate Cupcake was delicious! Very decadent. Such a treat!
Just a warning - they are closed on Sundays.

I got a Groupon and went here, too. They didn't have Snickerdoodle Cupcakes when I went though, that sounds like something I'd like to try!
